ISC BIND Data Processing Errors Vulnerability
ISC · BIND
The flaw is a data-processing error in the named component of ISC BIND, the widely used DNS server software, affecting 9.x releases before 9.9.7-P2 and 9.10.x releases before 9.10.2-P3. A remote attacker can send crafted TKEY queries to trigger a REQUIRE assertion failure that makes the named daemon exit, causing denial of service; no authentication, user interaction, or special configuration is required beyond network reachability to the server.
named in ISC BIND 9.x before 9.9.7-P2 and 9.10.x before 9.10.2-P3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (REQUIRE assertion failure and daemon exit) via TKEY queries.
