NETGEAR Multiple Routers Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

NETGEAR · Multiple Routers

Summary

The flaw is a command injection issue in the cgi-bin path handling of multiple NETGEAR routers, including the R6250, R6400, R6700, R7000, R8000, D6220, D7000 and others, where shell metacharacters in the path info are not sanitised. An attacker with network access can execute arbitrary commands on the device without authentication or user interaction, provided they can reach the router's web interface.
