Tenda AC7, AC9, and AC10 Routers Command Injection Vulnerability

Tenda · AC7, AC9, and AC10 Routers

Summary

The Tenda AC7, AC9, and AC10 routers contain a command injection flaw in the formsetUsbUnload function, which passes untrusted input to a system command execution routine (dosystemCmd). This affects AC7 firmware through V15.03.06.44_CN, AC9 firmware through V15.03.05.19(6318)_CN, and AC10 firmware through V15.03.06.23_CN. An attacker who can send a crafted goform/setUsbUnload request to the device can execute arbitrary operating system commands, with no authentication or user interaction required and network access as the only precondition.

Official description · NVD

An issue was discovered on Tenda AC7 devices with firmware through V15.03.06.44_CN(AC7), AC9 devices with firmware through V15.03.05.19(6318)_CN(AC9), and AC10 devices with firmware through V15.03.06.23_CN(AC10). A command Injection vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands via a crafted goform/setUsbUnload request. This occurs because the "formsetUsbUnload" function executes a dosystemCmd function with untrusted input.
