Google Chromium V8 Integer Overflow Vulnerability

Google · Chromium V8

Summary

Google Chromium V8, the JavaScript engine in Google Chrome, contains an integer overflow in the calculation of the allocation size used when instantiating a new JavaScript object, which can lead to heap corruption. An attacker on the network can exploit this by luring a user to a crafted HTML page, requiring no authentication but depending on the user opening that page.

Official description · NVD

Integer overflow in computing the required allocation size when instantiating a new javascript object in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 65.0.3325.146 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
