SIMalliance Toolbox Browser Command Injection Vulnerability
SIMalliance · Toolbox Browser
The SIMalliance Toolbox Browser (also known as S@T Browser), included on the UICC of some Samsung devices, contains a command injection flaw that lets remote attackers retrieve location and IMEI data, access other data, or execute certain commands. An attacker needs only to send a crafted SMS containing SIM Toolkit (STK) instructions, with no authentication, user interaction, or special configuration required.
Some Samsung devices include the SIMalliance Toolbox Browser (aka S@T Browser) on the UICC, which might allow remote attackers to retrieve location and IMEI information, or retrieve other data or execute certain commands, via SIM Toolkit (STK) instructions in an SMS message, aka Simjacker.
