Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to ping floods, potentially leading to a denial of service
Some HTTP/2 implementations, with no specific vendor or product identified, are vulnerable to ping floods because they queue a response for every ping they receive, so continual pings from a remote attacker can exhaust CPU, memory, or both on the peer. The attack requires only network access to an HTTP/2 peer, with no authentication, configuration, or user interaction needed, and its effect depends on how efficiently the implementation queues those responses.
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to ping floods, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker sends continual pings to an HTTP/2 peer, causing the peer to build an internal queue of responses. Depending on how efficiently this data is queued, this can consume excess CPU, memory, or both.
