Linux Kernel Out-of-Bounds Write Vulnerability

Linux · Kernel

Summary

The Linux kernel's watch_queue event notification subsystem contains an out-of-bounds write flaw that can overwrite parts of kernel state. An attacker needs only local access with a low-privileged user account, requiring no user interaction, and the flaw can lead to privilege escalation or denial of service.

Official description · NVD
