GitLab · GitLab
The flaw is an improper neutralization of user input (cross-site scripting) in GitLab, affecting its Community and Enterprise Edition products, specifically in the notes feature. An attacker who can get a user to interact with a note containing injected HTML can execute script in that user's session, which requires low privileges to create the note and user interaction for the victim to view it.
Improper neutralization of user input in GitLab CE/EE versions 14.4 before 14.7.7, all versions starting from 14.8 before 14.8.5, all versions starting from 14.9 before 14.9.2 allowed an attacker to exploit XSS by injecting HTML in notes.
