Apple Multiple Products WebKit Code Execution Vulnerability
Apple · Multiple Products
The flaw is an improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions in WebKit, the web content engine used across Apple's multiple products, and it was addressed with improved checks, with the fix shipped in macOS Sonoma 14. An attacker who can get a user to process crafted web content, which requires user interaction and no prior authentication or network-level privileges, can achieve arbitrary code execution.
The issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Sonoma 14. Processing web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited against versions of iOS before iOS 16.7.
