Summary

A heap-based buffer overflow in the authentication service of WatchGuard's Fireware OS can be triggered by a crafted response from the configured Active Directory server. Exploitation requires an attacker who controls or intercepts traffic to that server, and the attacker can cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code, with no authentication or user interaction needed.
