Use of an Externally Controlled Format String in the ASUS Router modules allow a remote authenticated user to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted file uploaded through the web management interface.
ASUS · Router
The flaw is an externally controlled format string in the web management interface of ASUS Router modules, where attacker-supplied input is used as a format string. An authenticated remote user with high privileges can exploit it by uploading a crafted file through that interface to execute arbitrary commands, requiring network access and valid authentication but no user interaction.
