Gitea · Gitea
Gitea versions before 1.27.1 contain a code injection flaw in the diffpatch API, which handles patch application within the Gitea product. An attacker who can reach the server over the network can exploit this without authentication or user interaction, using the diffpatch API to install Git hooks that lead to remote code execution.
Gitea before 1.27.1 allows remote code execution via the diffpatch API through Git hook installation.
First seen exploited 7 days before it was disclosed. Public exploit code (PoC-in-GitHub) was available 28 days before disclosure.
CISA KEV listing is when exploitation was confirmed, not necessarily the first attack.
