WordPress · Core
The WordPress Core component WP_Query does not properly sanitise its author__not_in parameter in WordPress 6.8.x before 6.8.6, 6.9.x before 6.9.5, and 7.0.x before 7.0.2. An unauthenticated remote attacker could inject SQL when a plugin or theme passes untrusted input into that parameter, provided the attack is not blocked by a network-level control that would make it hard to exploit.
WordPress 6.8.x before 6.8.6, 6.9.x before 6.9.5, and 7.0.x before 7.0.2 does not properly sanitise the author__not_in parameter of WP_Query, which could allow SQL Injection when a plugin or theme passes untrusted input to the parameter.
First seen exploited the day it was disclosed. Public exploit code (Metasploit) was available the same day.
