Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) · ArubaOS (AOS)
A buffer overflow in the PAPI protocol of ArubaOS (AOS-8), a Hewlett Packard Enterprise product, lets an unauthenticated remote attacker bypass existing authentication controls. Exploitation requires only network access to the affected PAPI service, with no credentials and no user interaction, and can lead to administrative access, changes to system configuration, and access to or manipulation of sensitive data.
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the PAPI protocol of AOS-8 that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to circumvent existing authentication controls. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to gain administrative access, modify system configurations, and access or manipulate sensitive data.
