Summary

Buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the affected interface of ArubaOS (AOS), specifically AOS-10 and AOS-8, allow code execution. The flaw lives in the interface component of ArubaOS products from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network can exploit it without user interaction by sending specially crafted data to the affected interface, executing arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system.

Official description · NVD

Buffer overflow vulnerabilities in the affected interface of AOS-10 or AOS-8 could allow an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted data to the affected interface. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system.
