ConnectWise ScreenConnect Improper Privilege Management and Missing Authorization Vulnerability

ConnectWise · ScreenConnect

Summary

The ConnectWise ScreenConnect client contains an improper privilege management and missing authorization flaw that lets files be transferred and executed through an active remote session. An attacker who already has a low-privilege account and network access can, under certain circumstances, do this without authorization and without the Host confirming the action, and no user interaction is required; the ScreenConnect server itself is not affected.

Official description · NVD

A condition in the ScreenConnect client may allow files to be transferred and executed through an active remote session without authorization or Host confirmation in certain circumstances. ScreenConnect servers are not impacted.
