Reolink Multiple IP Cameras OS Command Injection Vulnerability

Reolink · Multiple IP Cameras

Summary

The Reolink IP camera product line, including the RLC-410W, C1 Pro, C2 Pro, RLC-422W, and RLC-511W models, contains an OS command injection flaw in its "TestEmail" functionality, where special shell characters supplied in the addr1 field are not neutralized. An attacker with administrator credentials on the network-reachable device can exploit this to run arbitrary operating system commands as root, with no user interaction required.

Official description · NVD

On Reolink RLC-410W, C1 Pro, C2 Pro, RLC-422W, and RLC-511W devices through 1.0.227, an authenticated admin can use the "TestEmail" functionality to inject and run OS commands as root, as demonstrated by shell metacharacters in the addr1 field.
