Apache Kylin OS Command Injection Vulnerability

Apache · Kylin

Summary

The Apache Kylin analytics platform, in versions 2.3.0 through 2.6.5 and 3.0.1, has a flaw in some of its RESTful APIs, which concatenate user-supplied input directly into operating system commands. An attacker who can reach these APIs over the network and hold low-privilege credentials, with no user interaction required, can run arbitrary OS commands on the server.

Official description · NVD

Apache Kylin 2.3.0, and releases up to 2.6.5 and 3.0.1 has some restful apis which will concatenate os command with the user input string, a user is likely to be able to execute any os command without any protection or validation.
