CWP Control Web Panel OS Command Injection Vulnerability
CWP · Control Web Panel
The flaw is an OS command injection in the filemanager component of CWP (Control Web Panel, also known as CentOS Web Panel), where shell metacharacters are not neutralised in the t_total parameter of a changePerm request. An unauthenticated remote attacker who knows a valid non-root username can use this to execute arbitrary code, with the exposure limited to network access to the panel and no user interaction or prior login required.
CWP (aka Control Web Panel or CentOS Web Panel) before 0.9.8.1205 allows unauthenticated remote code execution via shell metacharacters in the t_total parameter in a filemanager changePerm request. A valid non-root username must be known.
